Locally owned Headlines Barbershop is hosting a cookout at Reedy Creek Park shelter #2 on Sunday, September 15th. The cookout will be held from 1pm – 5pm, and is absolutely free. There will be free food, games, music, plenty of fun for the kids and a chance to meet the barbers. The cookout is not just for fun, it also has a purpose. The barbershop will be collecting donations to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
Headlines Barbershop recently started a new initiative to give back to the Charlotte community. The barbershop recently wrapped up a month long food drive with a goal of 10 bins. “The food drive was a great experience for us. It was a great opportunity to bring the community together. We got a lot of positive feedback and we want to continue to do our part to make Charlotte a better place” says owner, Derrick Bennett.
