Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 17, because of the winter storm. CMS staff members are working with city and county leaders to receive the most up-to-date information about road and weather conditions.

March 12, a teacher workday, will be the make-up day for students and schools on the traditional calendar.

The After-School Enrichment Program (ASEP) will also be closed Feb. 17. All after-school, Community Use of Schools and athletic activities are canceled.

Project LIFT schools on the Continuous Learning Calendar will make up days on a separate schedule. The make-up day for Bruns Academy and Walter G. Byers is March 27. The make-up day for Druid Hills Academy and Thomasboro Academy is April 3. Both days are designated teacher workdays.

CMS staff will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout the evening and tomorrow. We will communicate any information about Wednesday, Feb. 18, tomorrow.
