The Carolina Panthers have claimed cornerback LaDarius Gunter off of waivers from the Green Bay Packers and waived kicker Harrison Butker, the team announced Wednesday.

Gunter, 6-2 and 200 pounds, was waived by Green Bay on Tuesday. Last season, he played in all 16 games with 15 starts, posting 58 tackles, a team-high 15 passes defensed, and two forced fumbles. He also started all three postseason contests. Gunter played collegiately at the University of Miami (Fla.) and was one of two undrafted rookies to make Green Bay’s opening day roster in 2015.
