Panthers Sign 2016 Draft Pick Worley

The Carolina Panthers have signed 2016 third-round draft choice (77th overall) cornerback Daryl Worley, the team announced Tuesday.

Worley, 6-1 and 205 pounds, was a two-time All-Big 12 Conference choice and played in 34 games with 27 starts at West Virginia, entering the NFL following his junior season. For his career, Worley totaled 146 tackles, 10 interceptions, 21 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

During his junior season in 2015, Worley earned first-team All-Big 12 Conference honors. He played in 12 games with 11 starts and finished seventh in the nation with a team-high six interceptions and led the conference with 12 passes defensed. Worley posted 49 tackles, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery, contributing to a unit that rated second in the conference in total defense.
