The Carolina Panthers have signed guard Fernando Velasco and placed tackle Nate Chandler on injured reserve.

Velasco, 6-4 and 310 pounds, played in 13 games with seven starts for the Panthers in 2014. He was signed as a free agent by Tennessee in the offseason before being released on Aug. 30.

Velasco entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with Tennessee in 2008 and has played in 73 regular season games with 37 starts for his career between three teams: Tennessee (2008-12), Pittsburgh (2013) and Carolina (2014).
