Sensoria 2015 re-launches event website, announces call for applicants, artists & programs

Participants may use new online application form to become a part of the arts festival

Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) has re-launched its Sensoria event Web page at sensoria.cpcc.edu. Since its inception, the week-long event has brought the best in literature, music, visual arts, history, and culture to the college. To continue this tradition of excellence, CPCC is excited to announce it is seeking exhibitors to participate in its 2015 festivities.

Each year, CPCC invites the local community to its campuses to experience Sensoria – a week of performances, exhibits, speakers and events that explore art as the universal language and engage and entertain individuals of all ages.

The 2015 event will be held April 10 – 18, and already promises to build on its past success. To date, the following individuals have committed to appear: Noah Hutton, a documentary film maker; Milly Antopol, and acclaimed fiction writer; and Chris Abani, an award-winning novelist, distinguished poet and essayist. To view the complete, preliminary list of Sensoria 2015 events, visit sensoria.cpcc.edu.

It’s this eclectic mix of talent that draws more than 15,000 individuals from across the region to CPCC’s Sensoria events each year.

Now is the time to boost the visibility of your work. Authors, artists, music and dance groups from across the region are encouraged to apply to join the many other artisans already on board in 2015. To participate, complete the college’s new online exhibitor form, accessible at sensoria.cpcc.edu. The deadline to apply is Sept. 30, 2014.
