Following the excitement of the unveiling of the team’s brand identity last month, new Charlotte Hornets merchandise will go on sale on Saturday, January 18, exclusively at the Time Warner Cable Arena Team Store.  Current season ticket holders will have the first opportunity to purchase new products from 3:00-6:30 p.m., with the store opening to the general public at 6:30 p.m. prior to the 7:30 p.m. tipoff of the Bobcats’ game against the Miami Heat.

Nearly 50 different items will be available for sale, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, hooded sweatshirts, polos, jackets, hats, basketballs and novelty items such as iPhone cases, bracelets and more.  Initial products available span a variety of colors and feature the team’s primary and secondary logos and wordmark.  More new merchandise is expected to be available in the coming weeks, including an exclusive line of Jordan Brand Hornets apparel.

To accommodate fans, an additional merchandise stand will be set up in the main lobby of Time Warner Cable Arena that will be accompanied by a fashion show featuring Lady Cats and models wearing various items. The fashion show will begin at 6:30 p.m. when doors open and will run until tipoff.

The Team Store and ShopBobcats.com will be the only places to get new Hornets merchandise during an exclusive three-day window from Saturday through Monday.  The store will be open from 12:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday and during its normal hours of 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on Monday.

In addition to the Hornets merchandise launch, season ticket holders will also have the opportunity to purchase the new Air Jordan Retro 3 “Powder Blue” shoe that goes on sale Saturday, continuing the Team Store practice of allowing season ticket holders the first access to Jordan Brand shoe releases.
