Hornets To Give Away Al Jefferson Bobblehead On December 5

The Charlotte Hornets today announced that the first 10,000 fans at the team’s game on Friday, December 5 vs. the New York Knicks will receive a free Al Jefferson bobblehead. Jefferson will be the first of three player bobbleheads given away this season, along with guards Lance Stephenson (Saturday, January 17 vs. Indiana) and Kemba Walker (Saturday, January 24 vs. New York).

Jefferson was named to the All-NBA Third Team last year in his first season in Charlotte when he was the only player in the Eastern Conference and one of only five players in the NBA to average more than 20.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.  This season, Jefferson is averaging a team-high 20.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, ranking 17th in the NBA in scoring and tied for 33rd in rebounding.

The bobblehead, the first of Jefferson as a member of the Hornets, features the center wearing his teal uniform.  The bobblehead depicts Jefferson with his back to the basket and a basketball in his hand on top of a base featuring a Hornets logo that includes his name on the side.

Single-game tickets for Friday’s game vs. New York and all regular-season games are available at the Time Warner Cable Arena Box Office, online at hornets.com or ticketmaster.com, or via phone at 1-800-4NBA-TIX.
