Charlotte Hornets will hold auditions for the 2016-17 Honey Bees dance team on Saturday, June 25

The Charlotte Hornets will hold auditions for the 2016-17 Honey Bees dance team on Saturday, June 25, at Time Warner Cable Arena.  Registration will begin at 7 p.m., with auditions to start at 8 p.m.  Participants can preregister now at hornets.com.

Prior to the auditions, the Hornets will host three prep classes.  The first session, on Wednesday, June 1, will feature advice on how to prepare for auditions from the Honey Bees’ fitness trainers and the opportunity to learn a Honey Bees sideline dance.  On Monday, June 13, participants will receive tips on how to prepare their look for auditions and what to expect at auditions.  Finally, participants at the Wednesday, June 22, class will learn Honey Bees choreography similar to what will be taught at auditions and receive answers to any questions about the audition process.  Each prep class will take place at Time Warner Cable Arena from 7:30-9:30 p.m. and will be closed to the public.

In order to audition, participants must be at least 18 years of age by June 25, 2016, and must have graduated from high school or received a GED.  Auditions will be closed to the public but the initial rounds will be streamed live on hornets.com.

The final audition, which will be closed to the public, will be held on Thursday, June 30.  The 2016-17 Honey Bees will be announced on the Hornets’ social media channels that evening.
