Pablo Carvajal files for City Council At-Large with plans to get city government back on track.

 

Charlotte NC – US Army Reservist and environmental health professional, Pablo Carvajal today announced his candidacy for Charlotte City Council At-Large. Filing as a Republican at the Mecklenburg Board of Elections, Carvajal made the following statement about entering the race:

“It is with great excitement that I announce my candidacy for Charlotte City Council At-Large. I believe in Charlotte’s future and its sustainable growth. I know that together, we can build a stronger community.”

 

“I’m a problem solver and committed to public service. As a longtime Charlottean, I can’t sit by and watch Charlotte’s city leadership continue to repeat the same mistakes. It is troubling that City leadership has decided to forego true progress and instead go down the wrong path — wasting money on a century-old streetcar system instead of expanding light rail and buses, and neglecting core and proper functions of government that we need in the community.”

Pablo Carvajal currently serves in the US Army Chemical Corps and graduated from Queens University of Charlotte, where he was a Presidential Scholar. Pablo is an employee of Duke Energy in Charlotte.
