Panthers Tender OT Remmers; Re-Sign WR Hill

The Carolina Panthers have tendered restricted free agent offensive tackle Mike Remmers, and re-signed wide receiver Stephen Hill to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.

In 2015, Remmers started all 16 games at right tackle for the first time in his career. His blocking efforts helped Carolina set team records and lead the NFL with 500 points scored and 59 total touchdowns, and rank second in the NFL with 142.6 rushing yards per game. Remmers joined the Panthers in October 2014 after being signed from the St. Louis practice squad. He has started all 21 regular season games and all five postseason games played since arriving in Carolina.

Hill spent the entire 2015 regular season on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in training camp and was a member of the Panthers practice squad in 2014 after two seasons with the New York Jets. He has played in 23 career regular season games with 19 starts, and registered 45 catches for 594 yards and four touchdowns.
